Two patients total: Adult female was trapped in the wreckage of her badly damaged vehicle. Beyond medical assistance, she was determined deceased at scene. An adult male from another vehicle with non-life threatening injuries, is being transported by LAFD Paramedics to an area hospital. #LATraffic: Closure of one or more lanes of La Cienega Boulevard in the immediate area until LAPD operations are complete, unknown duration. Motorists, expect congestion and delay, avoid the immediate area and consider an alternate route. Detours are readily available. Monitor traffic reports on news radio. One non-ambulatory person will be rescued via litter basket, and the other occupants will be guided down the aerial ladder, as their only path of egress (stairs) has been damaged and blocked. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1196; 06:12PM; 722-1/2 S San Pedro St; https://bit.ly/39qyhWT; #DowntownLA; *Corrected Address* LAFD responded to the two-story (residential over commercial) building, where several adjacent occupancies were on fire. Over 100 firefighters responded and with a coordinated effort, extinguished the flames in 53 minutes. One firefighter sustained a minor injury and no occupants were injured. Crews will remain on scene for an extended overhaul operations, as hot spots remain trapped under debris.
