Structure Fire; 12:37PM; 1528 N Hobart Blvd; internal:/; #EastHollywood; Firefighters arrived to find a 2-story apartment building with smoke showing, and reports of a person trapped inside. An aggressive fire attack ensued. KNOCKDOWN: 32 firefighters in just 11 minutes. 1 elderly female was determined dead inside. The Mayors Crisis Response Team is responding. Patient safely lowered to the ground with firefighter via rope lowering system established by the firefighters at the top of the hillside. Pt assessed and reports no injuries, no hospital transport needed. No further details (NFD); FS 82; Batt 5; West Bureau; Council District 13; Margaret Stewart

Update Hiker in Distress; 06:08PM; 3200 N Canyon Dr; internal:/; Hollywood (Hills & Northeast); LAFD crews and Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 27 are setting up a lowering system (rope system used to safely lower a firefighter to the patient and then lower both firefighter and patient down to the ground) to reach the patient, approximately 200' down a hillside.
