It took 84 LAFD personnel (assisted by jurisdictionally adjacent LACoFD crews in automatic aid) just 38 minutes to strategically access, defensively confine and offensively extinguish heavy fire within what is now described as *two-story* *150' x 100'* warehouse containing baled goods and commercial water delivery products. There have been no injuries. This Greater Alarm fire appears to have begun as an outside fire, which had already extended into and involved the structure on LAFD arrival. Bus Driver says 6 patrons were on bus, but departed the scene after self-evacuating the bus. Five patients total at this time (4 from vehicle and 1 bus operator). Two of the patients from passenger vehicle are in critical condition, the others, including 2 children from the vehicle, and the Bus Driver, have lesser injuries. All expected to be transported by LAFD ambulance to area hospitals. The spill has been contained on-site by LAFD responders, and clean-up will be coordinated through Caltrans. Closure of several lanes of NB 110 Freeway south of Harry Bridges Boulevard will continue until emergency operations and clean-up are complete, unknown duration. Motorists, expect congestion and delay, avoid the immediate area and consider an alternate route.
