The firefighters quickly extinguished the outside fire and conducted interior fire attack against the small area of extension (contents only in one room). The fire sprinklers activated and crews are working to shut them down for sprinkler head replacement. There are no injuries reported. The 9-1-1 call was received at 7:39PM. Due to the heavy fire load (combustible contents), a formal "Knockdown" is yet to be called. Firefighters will remain on scene working to finalize extinguish of all hot spots. Two patients affected by smoke inhalation were evaluated by firefighter/paramedics, but refused hospital transport. Cause remains under investigation. Park Rangers, have fully controlled the perimeter of the fire to a now estimated one-quarter (0.25) acre of heavy brush in the Hansen Dam Recreation area, a Mutual Threat Zone near the agencies' common border. No injury. No infra/structure damage. No evacuation. LAFD units will remain at scene for at least two hours to handle overhaul of smoldering debris.
