Contained - Brush Fire; INC#1066; 04:15PM; SB 5 Fwy transition to SB 110 Parkway; https://bit.ly/3jdG0tf; #ElysianPark; LAFD ground and air responders, with the assistance of City Park Rangers and a helicopter from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responding in Automatic Aid, have fully extinguished the vehicle fire, and confined fire to approximately one (1) acre of heavy brush. No injury. No structure damage. No evacuation. LAFD crews will remain in the vicinity handling full extinguishment and mop up until 7:30 PM, and will work with CHP and Caltrans to reopen southbound lanes of the 110 Parkway south of the Golden State (I-5) Freeway as soon as possible. Update Brush Fire; INC#1066; 03:39PM; SB 5 Fwy transition to SB 110 Parkway; https://bit.ly/3jdG0tf; #ElysianPark; Despite a mild wind, LAFD responders have extinguished the vehicle fire, and continue to flank flames which have extended uphill from the Parkway (aka Pasadena Freeway) to consume approximately one (1) acre of heavy brush, as flames approach a fire road above. Contained - Brush Fire; INC#1701; 09:45PM; 12844 Maclay St; https://bit.ly/3PQQwYl; #Sylmar; LAFD personnel have stopped forward progress of the fire at less than two (2) acres of grass and brush. No injury. No structures. As the fire has extended into the Federal Responsibility Area, they will be joined by responders from the Angeles National Forest and a hand crew from the Los Angeles County Fire Department in completing the fire perimeter to assure full extinguishment. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire 07/10/2023 INC#0152

KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0152; 04:21AM; 690 S Park View St; https://bit.ly/3JLyPpd; Westlake; KNOCKDOWN: Over 90 firefighters extinguished the Major Emergency structure fire in one hour and 35 minutes with no injuries reported. The extent of damage to the adjacent two buildings is being determined. The residents evacuated from the four story apartment building on the Bravo (east) side are able to rehouse. LAFD Arson is on scene for the investigation per protocol for an incident of this size. Traffic will be affected well into the morning as crews (some are being released) continue with the overhaul operations.
