Firefighters extricated one patient who was transported in critical condition. At least two other patients were evaluated, but found to be with only minor injuries, and not requesting transport at this time. Unknown age/gender/affiliation/circumstances. Update River Rescue; INC#0581; 11:00AM; 352 La River; https://bit.ly/3Z1j1n4; #BoyleHeights; A man was seen descending from the 6th Street Bridge down into the flowing water of the LA River. The man traveled over three-quarters of a mile southbound in the water, passed under the Santa Monica (10) Freeway and managed to escape the water flow before getting to the Olympic Bridge. The man had injuries (undetermined extent) and waited on the bank for LAFD personnel who evaluated, treated, and prepared him for transport. Update Structure Fire; INC#0200; 03:35AM; 5287 W Sunset Bl; https://bit.ly/42lWO6j; #EastHollywood; Though several of the approximately 60 tenants were medically evaluated for possible smoke exposure, none required ambulance transport to a hospital. There have been no firefighter injuries. Though several civilians are being medically evaluated for possible smoke exposure, none have yet been transported to a hospital. Complete - Confined Space Rescue; INC#1662; 09:37PM; 7660 W Imperial Hw; https://bit.ly/3JrKit4; Playa del Rey; The first arriving LAFD crews were able to quickly and safely rescue the 32 year-old male (unknown craft or site affiliation) who had fallen into the 3' x 3' opening (of an as much as =20' deep?) subterranean well or vault space at the Hyperion Water Reclamation Plant. Conscious, alert and in fair condition, he is being evaluated by LAFD Paramedics, who anticipate transporting him to an area hospital. Complete - Animal Rescue; INC#1274; 06:05PM; Wonder View Trail; https://bit.ly/3n13UwZ; #HollywoodHills; The 45 pound (unstated gender) Husky was able to safely scramble up the steep hillside by itself through thick vegetation to the Wonder View Trail near Cahuenga Peak, and has been reunited with its owner. The dog does not appear to be injured.
