Crews will remain on scene throughout the night conducting salvage / overhaul operations and monitoring for any hot spots. No injuries reported. LAFD Arson on scene to investigate the cause. Crews conducting salvage operations in the office to save paperwork and computers. A strip roof ventilation operation conducted to create a fire break to stop any further spread to the north, working to save part of the structure. No injuries reported. Update Structure Fire; 09:49PM; 4020 S Compton Av; internal:/; South Los Angeles; Over 170 FF now on scene battling this Major Emergency structure fire. FFs working to defend the northern portion of the structure (from loading dock north). Some explosions have been heard which are likely propane tanks on forklifts inside the structure. Water flow is into open parking, therefore causing no damage to building/contents. One small rehab/PT business being evacuated (number of people unk) in abundance of caution due to presence of light smoke. No injuries reported.
