LAFD transported the driver of the vehicle being pursued to a local hospital. Nothing further. Update KNOCKDOWN Major Emergency Structure Fire; INC#1168; 06:46PM; 1351 W Sepulveda Bl; https://bit.ly/3kEVOEJ; Harbor Gateway; After one hour and 29 minutes of defensive firefighting, 119 firefighters extinguished the blaze consuming a vacant 11,592 square-foot commercial building, which was formerly a Mulligan Family Fun Center. Initially, fire was concealed and crews found only light smoke showing. The conditions rapidly changed just after arrival and fire blew through the roof. Firefighters overcame access and structural integrity challenges to extinguish the flames. After the fire was out, firefighters searched the areas they could access and, thankfully, found no evidence that anyone was present in the building during the fire. Update Major Emergency Structure Fire; INC#1168; 06:10PM; 1351 W Sepulveda Bl; https://bit.ly/3kEVOEJ; Harbor Gateway; Firefighters continue to battle flames at a vacant commercial structure, formerly doing business as Mulligan Family Fun Center. Firefighters continue to flow water from large hand lines and ladder pipes from the exterior. A partial roof collapse was observed in the burning structure. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1012; 04:08PM; 17638 W Raymer St; https://bit.ly/3uR2iVG; Northridge; An outside fire that spread into ornamental vegetation in a Northridge neighborhood threatened homes. LAFD quickly responded with 28 firefighters, who skillfully protected the homes from the encroaching flames, and extinguished the fire in 30 minutes (one empty out building sustained minor damage). There were no reported injuries. Update KNOCKDOWN Major Emergency Structure Fire; INC#0144; 05:27AM; 2727 S Long Beach Av; https://bit.ly/3uLM68l; Central-Alameda; *Corrected Address* The bulk of the fire has been extinguished by 144 firefighters after 1 hour and 48 minutes in a 21,711 square-foot commercial building. There are still hot spots within the debris. Fire companies will remain on scene for an extended period of time to overhaul, and LAFD Heavy Equipment crews will assist with safely moving the debris to access those pockets of heat. LAFD Fire Investigators (with the Arson/Counter Terrorism Section) are on scene investigating potential causes.
