KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire 08/22/2024 INC#1002

Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1002; 02:00PM; 113 S Edgemont St; https://bit.ly/3YWH2iN; Koreatown; KNOCKDOWN: 78 firefighters (companies still enroute were canceled) extinguished the fire in 21 minutes with no injuries reported. Firefighters located the fire on the 3rd floor and contained it to the unit of origin while additional crews checked the floors above and below for smoke and conducted salvage operations to protect belongings against damage. Update Technical Rescue - Tree Trimmer; INC#0757; 12:10PM; 11958 W Hart St; https://bit.ly/3YU5jWK; North Hollywood; Firefighters conducted a carefully coordinated operation, using a combination of aerial ladder and rope system to quickly get a firefighter to the patient, secure him and safely lower him and the rescuer to the ground. Knockdown - Structure Fire; INC#0617; 10:45AM; 21513 W Cohasset St; https://bit.ly/3XfS0Of; #CanogaPark; 37 LAFD Firefighters took just 24 minutes to access, confine and fully extinguish fire within one of six apartment units in a 5,800 square foot three-story garden style apartment building (two occupied floors over parking). No human injury. One pet canine in the involved apartment sadly succumbed to the fire.
