The home's one occupant was able to escape unharmed. No injuries reported. Update Structure Fire; INC#0920; 02:31PM; 10657 N Andasol Av; https://bit.ly/3dwxJy9; Granada Hills; KNOCKDOWN: 31 firefighters extinguished the fire in 27 minutes. The cause of a reported explosion preceding the fire appear to be a BBQ propane tank and the fire extended into the attic. Firefighters conducted salvage to protect belongings from water damage (as much as possible) and prevented the fire from extending down into the living space. Crews faced a double roof (which takes longer to cut through and clear) and excessive storage within the attic - which required additional time to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.
