Structure Fire - Now Out; INC#0800; 01:22PM; 11352 N Danube Av; https://bit.ly/30IPBBO; Granada Hills; An adult male experiencing a behavioral emergency was taken into custody at the scene of a one-story single-family home with fire showing. After LAPD declared the scene was safe for firefighters to enter, a coordinated attack between rooftop ventilation and interior fire attack resulted in the flames being extinguished in 16 minutes (1:38 PM) by 26 firefighters. The adult male on scene is being treated by LAFD firefighter-paramedics for burns and will be transported to an area hospital for further care. No other residents were home at the time of the fire. LAFD Fire Investigators are en route to perform a fire-cause investigation. It took 22 minutes (6:45 AM) to extinguish the flames. One elderly female requested evaluation for a (non-injury) medical problem. As the heat and smoke cleared, they sadly found the ( unknown age / gender / breed) dog lifeless and beyond veterinary help. No human injury was reported.
