Firefighters remained defensive for the duration of the firefight. Now that the flames have been extinguished (by 67 firefighters in 32 minutes), an interior search can be conducted and fire investigators can begin combing through debris and examining evidence. No reported injuries. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1345; 07:40PM; 21055 W Ingomar St; http://bit.ly/2TxgHGx; Canoga Park; At the same home that burned on Friday, 26 firefighters extinguished flames (initially through the roof) in 16 minutes. LAFD's vertical ventilation was still in place from the previous night. Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines to the interior to extinguish the flames. The cause is currently unknown. Arson investigators are en route and building overhaul will not commence until investigators have examined the scene (preserve potential evidence). One firefighter was injured (non-life--threatening) and will be transported in fair condition. With fire having already broken a front window, crews performed a transitional attack with an upward hose stream through the window to cool the atmosphere, before making entrance for an interior attack, as crews on the roof coordinated their vertical ventilation. After extinguishing the flames, firefighters searched the structure and found no occupants inside. No reported injuries. Update Traffic Collision 10/20/2019 INC#1396

Update Traffic Collision; INC#1396; 09:57PM; 20900 W Sherman Wy; http://bit.ly/33RNW9d; Canoga Park; Nine patients total. All have been transported by LAFD ambulance to area hospitals. Four have potentially life threatening injuries, while the other five have lesser injuries. No details are available on their ages, genders, specific medical conditions, affiliation or circumstances. LADWP is on scene. They have stopped the flow of water from the hydrant and will be safely securing the toppled power lines. An LAFD Urban Search and Rescue unit is at the scene to assist the Department of Building and Safety (en route with an unknown ETA) in a detailed examination of the WSS footwear store that suffered a roof collapse and interior damage following the deluge with water from the sheared hydrant. All store employees are accounted for, and no other patients are believed to be outstanding.
