Update - Final - Structure Fire; INC#1432; 09:30PM; 3494 N Oak Glen Dr; https://bit.ly/3IRqZI6; #HollywoodHills; 67 LAFD Firefighters took just 30 minutes to access, offensively confine and fully extinguish fire that involved several Italian Cypress trees before it extended into the attic of an adjacent one-story home, damaged a car, and briefly threatened other homes nearby. No Injury. Update Traffic Collision; INC#0817; 12:55PM; 4626 W Hollywood Bl; https://bit.ly/3rTsi2b; #EastHollywood; Solo passenger vehicle approximately 5-10' into a restaurant, striking and injuring two persons, believed to be restaurant patrons (unclear if within building or dining al fresco), as well as injuring that car's driver. The total of three patients: The 27 year-old male and 27 year-old female "patrons" (unknown affiliation) in serious condition, as well as the 84 year-old male driver of the car, in undetermined condition, have been taken to a regional trauma center by LAFD Paramedics. All remaining occupants of the two-story building that contains apartments above the restaurant, as well as downstairs retail store, have been temporarily moved outdoors until the damaged structure can be formally assessed for structural integrity by an L.A. Department of Building & Safety Inspector, ETA 1:45 PM. Knockdown - Brush Fire; INC#0423; 09:00AM; 2402 N Highland Av; https://bit.ly/3rQV1EM; #HollywoodHills; The first arriving 30 LAFD ground personnel, aided by precise helicopter water drops, took just 30 minutes to access, confine and fully extinguish an approximately 50' x 50' fire in medium-to-heavy brush approximately 200' up a steep hillside west of the Hollywood (US 101) Freeway near the Hollywood Bowl. Though there are winds in our region, they were not a factor at this fire. The flames did not threaten or damage any structures at the Hollywood Bowl or any nearby homes. The was no call for evacuation. No injuries have been reported. Wind and embers are NOT an issue at this time. Ground-based LAFD crews have assembled west of the Hollywood (US 101) Freeway near the Hollywood Bowl, and have begun fire attack to flank the fire, as LAFD water-dropping helicopters arrive at scene. The fire is NOT currently a threat to structures at the Hollywood Bowl or any nearby homes.
