It took 38 firefighters 19 minutes to extinguish the flames consuming the vacant duplex. No reported injuries. No injury. No evacuation. All businesses have resumed normal operations. CONTAINED Brush Fire; INC#1018; 02:42PM; 1379 N Miller Dr; https://bit.ly/3FFcKGH; #HollywoodHillsWest; Firefighters from LAFD and LA County FD both responded to the brush fire burning on a steep slope between several homes. Crews made a strong stand, to hold the fire to less than one-half of an acre, and protected ALL neighboring homes. Crews will remain in the area to fortify containment lines and eliminate any remaining hot spots or smoldering debris. Approximately 48 LAFD firefighters, along with LA County FD personnel, took approximately 80 minutes to extinguish the flames. No reported injuries. Vehicle Into Building; INC#1783; 09:28PM; 1657 N La Brea Av; https://bit.ly/3MrnvA1; Hollywood; Three vehicle collision with the front end of one vehicle (pick up truck) into the front of a small commercial building (reported as a pizza place). There was no extrication required. One patient (32yo M) is being transported in unknown condition. There is probable compromise of the structural integrity of the front of the restaurant and LAFD Urban Search and Rescue resources are enroute to evaluation and stabilize the building as required. LA Dept of Building and Safety is responding and will make the determination on the condition of the building for occupancy. Questions regarding the collision are referred to LAPD Inc# 4125. The original 9-1-1 call was received at 9:04PM.
