***UPDATE 12:00PM*** FATALITY Structure Fire (Now Out); INC#0162; 02:55AM; 1760 N Vista Del Mar Av; https://bit.ly/4rxNUON; Hollywood; Single-family dwelling, well-involved upon fire department arrival. Firefighters quickly knocked down enough flames to make entry and perform a search. ***Two victims located and pulled from the home. The first victim -- initially identified as an approximately 15-year-old female, but later confirmed to be an elderly female -- was pronounced deceased at the scene. The second victim, an approximately 70-year-old female, was transported to a local hospital in grave condition following effective CPR.*** Knockdown in 19 minutes with 43 firefighters on scene. LA County Medical Examiner and LAFD Arson attached per protocol for fatality fires. DOT and LAPD (INC#0435) will assist with traffic control during extended overhaul and investigation. The primary search of the fire unit is clear with no occupants located. Firefighters conducted ventilation operation to clear out the smoke in the hallway and the unit above. The additionally requested resources are being released.
