Traffic Collision with Fire; INC#1579; 10:58PM; EB 134 Fwy x Riverside Dr; https://bit.ly/3STHD00; #GriffithPark; PRELIM: One passenger vehicle fell from the Riverside Drive (sometimes referenced as Victory Boulevard) freeway overpass, striking the concrete center divider of the Ventura Freeway (SR134) below, and catching fire. Two patients from that vehicle self-extricated prior to the fire department's arrival: A 65 year-old male and a 60 year-old male (unknown affiliation) with unspecified injuries, who were taken by paramedics to regional trauma centers in serious but stable condition. No other injuries reported. Firefighters remain at scene to control the stubborn flames of the still burning vehicle. No escalating or off-site hazard has been identified. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0102; 02:59AM; 705 E Broadway Av; https://bit.ly/433sI8j; #Venice; Firefighters responded to a two-story home under construction to find heavy fire showing. Firefighters engaged in a defensive attack (from the exterior only). Crews found hazardous electrical wires down in the rear. Hose lines were advanced around the perimeter of the fire and firefighters used a "surround and drown" tactic. The first 45 firefighters to arrive took 31 minutes to extinguish the blaze. No reported injuries. Crews arrived and are on scene assessing the situation. Department of Building and Safety is also responding with a Geologist to conduct an assessment.
