Update Brush Fire; 07:05AM; 2155 N Mt Olympus Dr; internal:/; Hollywood (Hills & Northwest); KNOCKDOWN: 92 FF in 38 mins. Firefighters quick, simultaneous actions from ground and air prevented the fire from extending beyond the 1/2 acre and structure at point of origin. The building was vacant at the time. Update Brush Fire; 06:53AM; 2155 N Mt Olympus Dr; internal:/; Hollywood (Hills & Northwest); Over 92 firefighters now assigned to this incident, raising it to a Greater Alarm status. The teamwork of air drops by helicopters and heavy streams (wagon battery) by nearest engine (while firefighters worked to gain access with hand lines on the ground) combined to get a quick handle on preventing this fire from extending to exposed buildings. Lack of wind is in our favor. The fire is now contained to the structure while firefighters work their way inside to fully extinguish.
