No injury. Fire cause under investigation. Sadly, she was beyond medical help and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. LAFD Arson Section is attached for the investigation per protocol for a fire fatality. Firefighters located a fire in one unit and extinguished it. They conducted a search and located one patient. The patient has been rescued out of the unit and is being treated by paramedics in unknown condition. Firefighters are working to clear the residual smoke from the building. With the quick attack made by LAFD Air Ops from the sky, the ground firefighters were able to access the fire and get handlines around it (totaling less than 1/4 acres in heavy brush). No structures damaged and no injuries reported. The fire was contained to approximately 1 acre in size (with one small spot fire below it). No structures were damaged and no injuries reported. Firefighters established handlines around the majority of the perimeter of the burn area and will achieve full containment shortly. Crews will remain on scene to conduct mop up operations to ensure no hot spots remain.
