Brush Fire; INC#0513; 11:25AM; 3610 N Griffith Park Bl; https://bit.ly/3oVrRRt; Los Feliz; LAFD located a small patch of heavy brush burning and knocked it down with water drops. Firefighters are making their way in to overhaul the area and located an additional smoldering patch up the ridge from the original fire. Air Ops are evaluating the need for a water drop to ensure no active flames remain. Due to the difficulty in reaching the area on the ground, LAFD resources will be on scene and active in the area for an extended period. Please avoid the area of the Cadmin Trail and Beacon Trail until operations are complete. No injuries reported. There were reports of an elderly female living in one of the bungalows. Thankfully, she was located on scene and was unharmed. Red Cross has been contacted to assist with displacement. Knockdown - #BronsonFire Structure Fire; INC#0421; 09:47AM; 1245 N Bronson Av; https://bit.ly/3iEFm6I; Hollywood; Address (for initial fire building) corrected to 1245; 97 LAFD firefighters took just 39 minutes to extinguish all flame at a quartet of residential structures, including a structurally unstable vacant 1 story home fully involved on firefighters arrival, fire extension to the attic of an adjacent 2 story craftsman-style home to the north, as well as a 900 square-foot guest house at the rear of the property. as well as minimal fire extension (balcony only?) at an occupied 3 story garden-style apartment building to the south. One adult male civilian from the apartment building is now being transported by LAFD Paramedics in fair condition to an area hospital for treatment of a burn injury to the hand or arm. One firefighter sustained a minor injury during the firefight, and following a brief on scene assessment, remains at scene. Media needs at scene will be handled by LAFD Operations West Bureau Chief Officers at or near the Command Post across the street from the incident. Significant progress is being made on what is now a Greater Alarm fire, with 97 LAFD personnel assigned in largely defensive operations on a structurally unstable vacant 1 story home that was fully involved on firefighters arrival, with fire extension to the attic of an adjacent 2 story craftsman-style home to the north, as well as a 900 square-foot guest house at the rear of the property. Minimal fire extension also occurred and has been contained (balcony only?) at an occupied 3 story garden-style apartment building to the south. One firefighter is being evaluated for a minor injury. One civilian from the apartment building is being treated for a minor burn injury.
