Multi-Patient Shooting; INC#1497; 10:16PM; 6112 W Afton Pl; https://bit.ly/2QYu2Jd; Hollywood; PRELIM: Six patients total, all adults, unknown gender/affiliation/circumstances. 3 were in critical condition with gunshot injury. 1 patient in undetermined condition has an unspecified non-life threatening injury. 1 additional patient in undetermined condition had an unspecified medical complaint (no known injury). Those five patients have all been taken by LAFD ambulance to area hospitals, their medical status upon hospital arrival is unknown. 1 other person is deceased and remains at scene. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1652; 11:41PM; 11779 W Santa Monica Bl; https://bit.ly/33qWCpe; Sawtelle; The first 26 LAFD firefighters extinguished the flames in 30 minutes inside of a one-story 1,380 sq-ft commercial pharmacy built in 1923. Firefighters made a bold stand to prevent the fire from spreading throughout the row of commercials next door, just on the other side of a shared interior wall (division wall). No reported injuries. Hiker Rescue; INC#1317; 07:06PM; 1900 N Runyon Canyon Rd; https://bit.ly/2PKZnOK; Hollywood Hills West; LAFD crews located three uninjured hikers (age/gender=18M, 11M, 8F) and their dog in a remote area of Runyon Canyon, who were unable to make it up a steep slope. Firefighters have set up a low angle rope rescue with assistance from pulleys providing a mechanical advantage to assist these hikers up the slope safely. LAFD Air Ops is standing by with their Nightsun® (high-intensity searchlight) to assist with visibility as the evening light fades. Though one neighboring home was briefly threatened, the flames were confined to the one involved building. No injury.
