One patient was ejected and one was trapped. Firefighters extricated the trapped patient, but sadly they were deceased at the scene. Paramedics are planning for transport of the other patient. CONTAINED Brush Fire; INC#1030; 02:40PM; 11798 W Foothill Bl; https://bit.ly/3W79TPP; #HansenDam; LAFD ground and air resources were joined by Angeles National Forest and Los Angeles County Fire Department in Automatic Aid to assist with the "Stone Fire," near the Hansen Dam. Containment was achieved in less than an hour (3:30pm), and the fire was held to approximately 2 acres of vegetation. Crews remain on-scene to address hot spots and ensure all threat has been neutralized. Update Traffic Collision with Fire; INC#1671; 08:15PM; 13136 W Sherman Wy; https://bit.ly/3xKa9eb; #ValleyGlen; One vehicle with two occupants collided directly into the rear of a vehicle parked curbside, which created a chain-reaction collision ultimately causing damage to four vehicles (one occupied and moving, and three unoccupied and parked-in-line). Though the errant vehicle caught fire shortly after the collision and was well involved on firefighter's arrival, the two adult male occupants of that car had been able to extract themselves from the wreckage prior to fire department arrival. The flames were quickly confined to the errant vehicle and the first vehicle it collided with. The two men, one in fair condition, the other in serious condition, were taken to an area hospital by LAFD Paramedics. No other injuries were reported. This has been dubbed the "Dora Incident," and forward progress of the fire was declared stopped within approximately 30 minutes. Hiker Rescue; INC#1350; 05:59PM; Mt Lukens Rd; https://bit.ly/4cJw6ZK; #Tujunga; LAFD air resources have located a hiker and his three dogs in a remote location on the north side of Mt. Lukens -- the hiker had called 911 for aid just before losing his cellular connection. An LAFD helicopter lowered a paramedic to assess the 61-year-old male, who was dehydrated and unable to walk out of the location under his own power. Fully Contained - Brush Fire; INC#1388; 07:45PM; 15700 W Burbank Bl; https://bit.ly/3RG8PQg; #SepulvedaBasin; This wildland blaze, known as the "Burbank Fire", has been fully contained at 2 1/4 (2.25) acres. All LAFD helicopters have been released, and ground-based LAFD operations will continue tonight to monitor and fully extinguish any active flame within the perimeter. There has been no infra/structure damage, no evacuation and no injuries. Closure of all traffic lanes (eastbound and westbound) Burbank Boulevard between Woodley Avenue and the 405 Freeway will continue tonight until LAFD operations are complete. Unknown ETO. Travelers are asked to continue to avoid the area, expect congestion and consider an alternate route.
