Update Structure Fire; INC#0480; 09:40AM; 12001 W Foothill Bl; https://bit.ly/4fAsElu; Lake View Terrace; The adult female patient had no medical complaints and declined LAFD transport. There were numerous animals in the home and while 8 cats and 2 dogs were rescued by firefighters (current conditions/prognosis unknown) there were sadly about 10 cats and 2 dogs deceased in the structure (estimated numbers). A total of four occupants lived in the unit but only one was home at the time. Red Cross notified to assist with immediate needs. Cause was determined to be a cooking fire which spread through the manufactured home. It is not immediately known if there were functioning smoke alarms.
