Traffic - FATALITY; INC#0609; 10:17AM; 4474 N Woodman Av; https://bit.ly/4kQxMFh; Sherman Oaks; Auto vs (parked) moving van resulted in the transport of three patients and one patient determined deceased onscene. Adult female and 10yo male transported per protocol for a fatality (they did not have any apparent injuries). A 12yo male (front passenger seat) determined deceased on scene. The third patient was transported for medical reasons, not involved in the collision. LAPD and Crisis management team on scene providing assistance to the family. Structure Fire - Update; INC#0642; 12:00PM; 1102 W 5th St; https://bit.ly/43w1eKw; #SanFernando; As a result of this fire, 7 total persons and 1 cat were displaced and are being assisted by Red Cross. San Fernando Building and Safety, as well as local utility companies, have been attached to the incident for structure and utility management. One firefighter was transported to a local hospital for a minor hand injury; no civilian injuries reported. Structure Fire - Now Out; INC#0642; 10:50AM; 1100 W 5th St; https://bit.ly/43Pgcds; #SanFernando; First arriving companies discovered an outside fire that extended into a duplex and an outside shed, as well as threatening several other surrounding structures. Firefighters coordinated roof and interior operations on the duplex, extinguished the shed fire, and protected exposures -- complete knockdown achieved in 32 minutes. Propane tanks noted off-gassing on scene, now neutralized. Companies remain on scene for overhaul.
