Structure Fire - Fire Out; INC#1673; 09:49PM; 17706 W Martha St; https://bit.ly/4sVhrlQ; Encino; First arriving engine reports light smoke from an ADU (converted garage). A small contents fire was located and extinguished. No extension into the main occupancy. A patient, approximately 70 year old male, has sustained injuries related to the fire. The patient is being assessed by LAFD paramedics and will be transported to a local hospital. No injuries to LAFD personnel. Cause of fire is unknown. Nothing further. The fire had a low rate of spread with no wind driven elements. All LA County Fire Department resources have been canceled. LAFD HazMat resources will respond due to the presence of compromised lithium-ion batteries. No injuries are reported. Cause of fire is unknown. Nothing further. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0365; 07:57AM; 10901 N Laurel Canyon Bl; https://bit.ly/3QUVLZA; Pacoima; A well coordinated interior fire attack and roof operation allowed 44 firefighters to extinguish the blaze in 22 minutes. The sole occupant of the dwelling is accounted for and receiving a medical assessment from LAFD paramedics. No injuries to LAFD personnel. Cause of fire is unknown at this time. Reports of 2 people jumping from the 2nd floor confirmed false. 6 Displaced and Red Cross notified. PIO Captain Milo Cope | Media Staging Parthenia x Independence | Arson enroute. Knockdown officially at 0313 hours. E72 oncscene initial size up a 2 story garden style apartment with heavy fire showing from the 1st floor, apt 1 on the alpha side of the apartment. initial reports of 2 patients jumped from the 2nd floor are false. Bryant IC requested Arson, Red Cross, DWP. Gas company and Building and Safety. Knockdown called 28 minutes after first unit pressed onscene.
