The man has been in the terrain for two days and his cell phone battery is running low. A LAFD Firefighter/Paramedic has been lowered from the helicopter and is assessing the patient. A helicopter hoist operation is anticipated around 4:45 pm. Air drops kept fire in check while ground crews worked to gain access. Resources will remain on scene cleaning up hot spots and ensuring safety. Dirt roads being located to allow closer access by the smaller, 4x4 WD brush patrols. AirOps working water drops. Firefighters will be cutting fence and hiking in lines to reach the fire (unk exact distance). Fire is in light brush and not moving quickly.
