No structure damage. No evacuation. No injury. No structure threat. The driver of the vehicle declined LAFD treatment/transport. LAFD is continuing to assess the building and conduct any necessary shoring operations while LA Building and Safety responds for the official determination of the businesses. Traffic - Multi-Casualty Incident 10/10/2024 INC#1150

Traffic - Multi-Casualty Incident; INC#1150; 03:55PM; 18663 W Ventura Bl; https://bit.ly/3U71YAx; Tarzana; Single car collision into one unit on the first floor of a two story strip mall (primary impact zone is a coffee shop). Currently, eight patients are being evaluated. Seven patients were in the parking lot with minor, non-life threatening injuries and are declining LAFD transportation. One patient is an approximate 60yo female (driver) with unknown injuries is being assessed by firefighter/paramedics for transport to the hospital. Building and Safety notified and LAFD Urban Search and Rescue is enroute to evaluate the building for any immediate safety concerns. The occupant of the unit is being evaluated but currently has no medical complaints. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire 10/06/2024 INC#0057

KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0057; 01:10AM; 7320 N Hazeltine Av; https://bit.ly/3YboAST; #VanNuys; Firefighters arrived to the two-story residential apartment building (above one parking level) to find smoke throughout both residential floors and a fire in one unit. Initially several people were trapped inside. Firefighters quickly rescued the residents and provided medical evaluation/treatment outside. Two people (including one child) were transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation in unknown condition. Crews deployed hose lines to the fire unit and quickly extinguished the flames. Fire ground personnel set up blowers to systematically evacuate smoke from the building and restore fresh air inside. It took the first 43 firefighters 34 minutes to extinguish the flames.
