Firefighters stopped the fire from fully extending through the attic. Update Flooding 01/20/2017

Update Flooding; 02:52PM; 15260 W Burbank Bl; internal:/; Sherman Oaks; Total of 5 persons rescued from homeless encampments in the Sepulveda Basin. Sequence: Two people rescued during Inc#0708 at 12:07PM, Two people rescued during Inc# 0879 at 1:10hrs. During this second incident, LAFD Air Ops Fire 1 conducted an aerial reconnaissance of the basin to determine if there were any additional persons needing assistance. They located a 5th victim and the Swift Water Rescue Team used a boat to reach and safely retrieve the individual. Only one patient (included in the earlier alert) was transported for medical concern not related to the flood. We do not have knowledge of any additional persons currently in the basin.
