Building is a complete burnout but firefighters prevented the fire from extending to any exposed buildings or to the brush. Incident called in and dispatched as a Brush Fire but fire limited to structure. LACoFD resources responding. Advisory; 04:48AM; 9000 N Woodman Av; https://goo.gl/maps/ZrgPqpvGQX22; #Arleta At 3:16AM, LAFD Rescue 7 responded to a medical aid request in the 15500 block of W Rayen St. After a thorough assessment and evaluation, the patient declined transport to the hospital. Upon exiting the residence to return to the ambulance, the firefighter/paramedics found the ambulance had been stolen. The emergency lights were still activated and could be seen in the neighborhood while the vehicle was being driven. The firefighters immediately notified LAFD Metropolitan Communications Center and LAPD was dispatched in pursuit of the stolen ambulance. LAPD pursuit concluded with the suspect crashing the ambulance more than once, damaging power pole(s) in the process; The vehicle finally came to rest on Woodman Avenue south of Branford Street, where LAFD resources evaluated the patient and provided transport to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
