Overhaul and water removal will be extensive in several units, citizens advised to avoid W Magnolia Bl x Vineland while LAFD apparatus remain on scene likely for up to 2 hours. The garage fires extinguished, crews nearing knockdown on the vacant structure. No injuries reported. This incident reached a Greater Alarm status but some additional resources released before being assigned and currently 75 FF on scene. Update Structure Fire; 11:54AM; 6664 N Ampere Av; internal:/; North Hollywood; KNOCKDOWN: 45 FF in 25 mins. The additional resources requested raised this incident to a Greater Alarm status but knockdown achieved prior to those resources arriving on scene (that number is 70 FFs). In addition to the live ammunition discharging, several (number unknown) propane tanks in the backyard also set off by the heat. Fire extended into the attic. The exposure to the rear of the structure was defended from any damage. No injuries reported. Cause and $ loss to be determined.
