Update FORWARD PROGRESS STOPPED Brush Fire; INC#1005; 03:27PM; 12900 W Branford St; https://bit.ly/4i1EwhV; Pacoima; Over 100 LAFD firefighters were able to stop forward progress of approximately 1/2 acre of brush that burned through medium brush fuels in limited access areas, Airships used water drops to hit hot spots in the limited access areas. LAFD firefighters will remain on the ground in the area to for cold trailing, mop-up and full extinguishment of the burned area for an undetermined time. KNOCKDOWN Truck Fire; INC#0457; 09:48AM; Eb 101 Fy; https://bit.ly/3QBRU0s; #Encino; Companies on scene initiated a water shuttle (rotating several engines, each filling and delivering water to the scene) from nearby street hydrants due to incident location on the freeway. A total of 9 propane tanks (23 gallons each) were monitored while they fully relieved and emptied, preventing explosion. The 20-foot box truck, initially fully involved with flames, was then completely extinguished. Full knockdown 74 minutes. No containment issues, though limited lane and nearby road closures will persist until propane tank assessment and overhaul of the incident is complete. 1 patient (44M) with minor burns to his hands is currently refusing transport to the hospital.
