Civilian Fatality Structure Fire; INC#0186; 04:15AM; 8536 W Wyngate St; http://bit.ly/2NIzYCp; Sunland; 35 Firefighters took 21 minutes to extinguish heavy fire in the front portion of a one-story 1,045 square-foot home (built 1952), where they subsequently discovered a 52 year-old male deceased; His 51 year-old female housemate at the rear of the home had been awakened by smoke, and grabbed her cell phone to call 9-1-1 as she exited the home; Due to heavy fire damage there is currently no direct or anecdotal evidence of a functional smoke alarm in the house.
