Twelve mobility impaired residents of an adjacent residential care home threatened by flames upon LAFD arrival, were brought to safety and guarded by firefighters, until the flames - which were confined to the nearby building of fire origin, were fully extinguished. All of the evacuees were returned safely to the undamaged care home. One LAFD Firefighter sustained a non-life threatening shoulder injury during emergency operations, and has been taken to an area hospital for first care. Though the otherwise vacant (*corrected to*) 1,464 square-foot one-story home contained some cultivating equipment, there were no plants on the premises, and no residents displaced. Physical Rescue; INC#0101; 01:46AM; 12400 W Sherman Wy; http://bit.ly/2pBfIbe; North Hollywood; A vehicle collided with a big rig and became wedged underneath, with one patient trapped. LAFD Heavy Rescue 3 and USAR 88 worked together with firefighters on scene to free the patient from the wreckage. While equipment was being set up, firefighter paramedics got a head start on patient care to expedite transport once he was free.
