The fire was contained to a back storage shed. The home owner reported ammunition was stored in the shed which explains the noise heard by neighbors. Please avoid this section of Sunland Blvd because the hydrant supply line is still currently blocking the street. All forward progess is stopped and crews are working to mop up the hotspots (47 firefighters assigned). Water drops are complete and remaining work is on the ground. Bystander reports of potential suspect lighting fire resulting in LAFD Arson Section responding for the investigation, there is no confirmation of those reports at this time.
