One patient needed extrication, and LAFD used hydraulic tools to force open one door and free the patient from the wreckage. LAFD firefighter-paramedics assessed all six and transported five (one declined transport). All five patients transported were in fair condition, consisting of two adults and three children (ages/genders unknown), and taken to a trauma center as a precaution. One was beyond medical help and will be handled by the coroner. Two others were transported to a local trauma center (one in serious condition, and one in grave condition).
