Firefighters are actively protecting the north side of Burbank Blvd to prevent fire spread to the model airplane fields. LAFD helicopters are in the air for support as needed. One cat was rescued from the home and treated with oxygen on scene by paramedics. One patient (19F) in fair condition following minor smoke inhalation will not be transported. Companies remain on scene for overhaul and salvage of any property that is possible -- expect traffic to be affected in the area. No injuries reported.
