Update CONTAINED Brush Fire; INC#0065; 12:58AM; 11900 N Browns Canyon Rd; https://bit.ly/38px8tK; Chatsworth; A joint effort by LAFD, LACoFD, and VCFD held the brush fire to approximately two to three acres. A direct air attack combined with containment lines developed by ground crews earned firefighters extinguishment in 43 minutes. No structures threatened. No injuries. Update CONTAINED Brush Fire; INC#1560; 12:46AM; 19004 Ashurst Ln; https://bit.ly/2VF58xh; Tarzana; All forward progress has been stopped after a 94-minute battle to protect 7 large homes above the fire that burned approximately three acres. Firefighters skillfully extinguished the fire with no damage to nearby structures and no injuries. Crews will remain on scene to "mop up" remaining hot spots within the burn footprint. An LAFD ground and air attack is ongoing with LACoFD hand crews en route. Update CONTAINED Brush Fire; INC#1055; 06:46PM; 11850 N Eldridge Av; https://bit.ly/2VDUbfo; Lake View Terrace; An air and ground assault by 55 LAFD firefighters, and help from LACoFD and ANF, stopped all forward progress of the fire in 51 minutes, after burning 6 acres (5 acres + a 1-acre spot fire). Crews will remain on scene to continue improving the perimeter and extinguishing hot spots within the burn footprint. No reported injuries.
