Update Structure Fire KNOCKDOWN 01/15/2021 INC#0592

Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0592; 11:42AM; 13191 N Fellows Av; https://bit.ly/3oORvrT; Sylmar; Firefighters battled in approximately 25 mph winds for 57 minutes and have now extinguished the flames. Firefighters successfully protected nearby buildings and livestock. The fire extended into some nearby trees, which has now also been contained. A total of 117 firefighters responded to the location, classifying it as a major emergency structure fire. There were reports of a patient, but firefighters were unable to locate anyone in need of medical help. Firefighters will remain on scene for an extended period of time. No confirmed injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Sustained wind is creating challenges (~15mph). Approximately a dozen horses are in an adjacent property and may require evacuation, but seem to be unharmed thus far. Firefighters are applying water in an attempt to protect nearby structure and vegetation.
