Sixteen firefighters held the fire to one-quarter-acre of grass. Southbound 405 at Roscoe is temporarily closed while crews clean up equipment and ensure there are no remaining hot spots (which may still be releasing smoke into the area). KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1025; 04:08PM; 14711 W Gledhill St; https://bit.ly/3A1EUGs; Panorama City; KNOCKDOWN: 26 firefighters extinguished the fire in 55 minutes with no injuries reported. The well developed attic fire spread to and fully engulfed the two car garage as firefighters deployed lines within the attic and prevented the horizontal spread into the residence. Truck companies worked around solar panels on the roof to conduct vertical ventilation and assisted in accessing the isolated pockets of fire. LAPD requested to respond for a possible grow operation. PRELIM: 26 Firefighters took just 16 minutes to discover, access, confine and fully extinguish (11:18 AM) fire within a ~ 1,000 square-foot one-story garage conversion at the that rear of the property that appears to have served as a marijuana grow operation and ancillary dwelling. Update Physical Rescue 09/26/2021 INC#1355

Update Physical Rescue; INC#1355; 09:16PM; 10460 N Laurel Canyon Bl; https://bit.ly/3zJkHFk; Pacoima; A total of six individuals were affected by a two-vehicle collision involving a structure (multi-unit residential building). One person was, sadly, declared dead on scene. Five patients were transported: two adult males in moderate condition, and three juveniles in fair-moderate condition. One additional juvenile, who was inside the structure at the time of the collision, was evaluated by firefighter paramedics, however did not need additional treatment and will remain on scene in good condition. Firefighters extricated the two trapped patients from their vehicle.
