No injury, no fire. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1587; 09:45PM; 10724 N Plateau Dr; https://bit.ly/334nk6N; Sunland; *Updated Address* After knocking back the bulk of the flames, firefighters discovered the blazing structure was not the home, but only a detached garage directly in front of the home. The first 22 LAFD firefighters used defensive tactics (from the exterior only) to extinguish the fully-engulfed structure in 22 minutes. Two vehicles and overhanging tree branches were also damaged. No occupants were inside the garage at the time. Firefighters prevented the fire from damaging the neighboring homes. No reported injuries. Update CONTAINED Brush Fire; INC#1329; 07:21PM; 15700 W Burbank Bl; https://bit.ly/3aPmUFx; Sepulveda Basin; LAFD assaulted the brush fire by ground and air with 49 firefighters, and after 53 minutes, have stopped all forward progress at approximately one acre. The fire resided in mostly medium brush (although some portions were in light or heavy brush). No reports of any structural damage. No reported injuries. Firefighters will remain on scene to extinguish any remaining hot spots within the burn footprint.
