Reports of smoke in one room led to an offensive, fire attack conducting an investigation. They located a fire out with fire sprinkler activation. Firefighters are shutting down the sprinklers and working to ventilate the smoke so a further investigation can be done and a thorough search conducted. There are no injuries reported. Knockdown - #ResedaFire Structure Fire; INC#0647; 12:17PM; 9850 N Reseda Bl; https://bit.ly/3s3CsM4; Northridge; 95 Firefighters took just 33 minutes to extinguish heavy fire in one 3rd floor unit of a 60,246 square-foot three-story, largely center hallway 53-unit apartment building built in 1965 (immediately across the street from LAFD Station 70). Three civilians have been evaluated by LAFD Paramedics for unspecified injuries, with only 1 person ( yet unknown age / gender / condition / affiliation / circumstances ) being transported by LAFD Paramedics to an area hospital for unspecified injury. No other injuries reported. One or more street lanes will remain closed on both Reseda Boulevard and Lassen Street in the immediate area of the fire until LAFD operations are complete. Motorists should anticipate congestion and avoid the area. LAFD PIO Erik Scott will be arriving by 12:45 PM to assist the media.
