Explosions noted from within, and nearby vehicles threatened. The adult female was transported in serious condition and the 18mos male was transported in grave condition. The Mayor's Crisis Response Team was requested to assist the family. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1461; 07:52PM; 20100 W Vanowen St; https://bit.ly/3DEmJZw; Winnetka; It took 32 firefighters 30 minutes to extinguished a fire that appeared to be electrical in nature inside of a one-story vacant (boarded-up) commercial building. It is presently unclear whether the fire started near wires down outside the structure or a problem inside the structure contributed to the wires down outside. No reported injuries. Update Hiker Rescue; INC#0975; 03:20PM; Bee Canyon - Santa Susana Mountains; https://bit.ly/3aFsie9; Granada Hills; Moments before he was to be hoisted into the hovering LAFD rescue helicopter, the patient adamantly declined further assistance from LAFD against medical advice. Firefighters extinguished the flames in 49 minutes. Crews will remain on scene for an extended period of time to ensure there is no smoldering material remaining within the vehicles.
