Firefighters located the involved unit, which had a contents fire in one room, and quickly extinguished the flames, 18 minutes (11:59am) after the time of alarm. There are no reported injuries. Firefighters used hydraulic rescue tools to extricate several patients. Of the 8 patients, 6 adults were transported to local hospitals (two declined transport). Now Out Vegetation Fire; INC#1176; 05:01PM; 8625 N Orion Av; https://bit.ly/3d2UB7P; North Hills; Vegetation to the east of the 405 freeway caught fire and threatened homes, catching one or more out buildings on fire. Twenty-eight LAFD firefighters skillfully protected the nearby homes whose properties back up against the freeway. The fire was contained in just over twenty minutes, and the threat has been neutralized. Crews will remain on scene to extinguish hot spots. No reported injuries.
