While crews performed salvage operations in the home to protect belongings, others continued to conduct fire attack, pull ceiling and locate the seat of the fire. The fire was in a difficult to reach location and took close coordination between the roof companies and fire attack. Two dogs were in the home at the time. Crews located them and safely moved them to the yard. No injuries reported. Firefighters covered belongings below the fire to protect from water damage. Crews above cut holes in the roof to ventilate the fire, allowing hot smoke and gas to escape and improve visibility below. It took 23 minutes to extinguish the flames. No reported injuries.
