KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1357; 06:34PM; 10020 N El Dorado Av; https://bit.ly/3z6P9sZ; Pacoima; The fire was located adjacent to LAPD Foothill station. Officers were the first on scene, responding on foot from their station across the street, to ensure occupants safely evacuated. Twenty-six LAFD firefighters arrived to extinguish the flames of a one-room fire inside of the one-story single-family dwelling in 14 minutes. Firefighters saved three pets from the home (a reptile, a canine, and a feline). Paramedics administered oxygen to the feline, and all three now appear to be well. No reported injuries. Update Structure Fire; INC#1255; 06:52PM; 8828 N Ilex Av; https://bit.ly/3e6hIPk; Sun Valley; KNOCKDOWN: 76 firefighters extinguished the bulk of the fire in 50 minutes. Multiple structures were involved in this incident. The primary fire unit sustained heavy fire damage which extended into the attic. Exposed buildings (one is a converted garage) on at least two sides of the structure were damaged and an auto in a carport to the rear (backs up to an alley). Firefighters will remain on scene conducting an extensive overhaul operation and ensure all pockets of fire are fully extinguished. There are no injuries reported. Cause and $ loss TBD.
