It took 58 minutes to access, confine, and extinguish the fire. Firefighter-paramedics transported one patient to the hospital. The cause of the fire is under investigation. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1556; 09:50PM; 13281 W Van Nuys Bl; https://bit.ly/3JLg837; Pacoima; KNOCKDOWN: Over 70 firefighters extinguished the fire in 42 minutes with no injuries reported. During an aggressive roof operation by truck companies, firefighters cut a ventilation strip to help prevent the horizontal spread of fire to adjoining units. LAFD Arson is responding, per protocol, for the investigation. Some resources will be released shortly but crews will be on scene for an extended duration for overhaul and the investigation.
