Knockdown - Structure Fire; INC#1423; 08:03PM; 6234 N Agnes Av; https://bit.ly/33LSzas; #NorthHollywood; 21 Firefighters took just 15 minutes to access, confine and fully extinguish an intense outside fire that extended into a debris-filled detached garage conversion at the east end of the property. Firefighters prevented all but exterior damage to the eaves of the 1,066 square-foot one-story primary residence, and halted flames before they could cause any damage to a neighboring home to the north. During the firefight, firefighters encountered an adult male resident with 2nd degree burns to his hands and legs. He was provided immediate on-scene care before being transported by LAFD Paramedics to an area hospital in serious condition. No other injuries reported. The fire was in the attic and extended down into the walls on one side of the building. Firefighters encountered zero visibility conditions on the 2nd floor while locating the fire. 29 firefighters extinguished the fire in 35 minutes with no injuries reported. Occupants on scene stated all were out of the building prior to LAFD arrival. Cause and $ loss TBD. Tank Truck Fire 01/14/2022 INC#0065

Tank Truck Fire; INC#0065; 02:14AM; 6500 N Canoga Av; https://bit.ly/3qoV3Er; Canoga Park; A passenger vehicle collided into a tanker truck then careened into a fountain and erupted into flames. The occupant of the vehicle was determined deceased on scene (age/gender unknown). The tanker spilled an estimated 1,000 gallons of fuel. There are no other injuries reported. The tanker spill is a static situation (no fire involved). Firefighters have secured the area and are working contain any run off. There is a full road closure at Victory and Canoga and this area will remain closed for an indefinite time period as private contractors respond to remove the fuel / tanker truck. They have extinguished the fire from the interior of the structure but are still battling stubborn pockets of fire within the attic (this area is harder to reach in the defensive posture).
