Small spot fires near the 170 FY are being controlled by units on scene, but are putting off smoke in the area. No injury. No structure damage. LAFD Firefighters will remain at the scene tonight in a patrol status to monitor and extinguish hotspots and further establish a bare soil perimeter. No injury. No structure damage. No evacuation. Firefighters are continuing to fully extinguish stubborn hotspots and create a bare earth perimeter to the fire. To protect both firefighters and the traveling public, railroad tracks in the Santa Susana Pass (Metrolink Ventura County Line / also used by Amtrak Pacific Surfliner and Union Pacific Railroad) will remain closed to all freight and passenger train traffic between Chatsworth and Simi Valley until further notice.
