Forward Progress Stopped - Brush Fire; INC#1046; 03:20PM; 12261 W Foothill Bl; https://bit.ly/3cjfyOi; #LakeViewTerrace; Despite flames fanned by 10 mph winds from the east, LAFD and LACoFD ground crews have stopped forward progress of the fire in just 33 minutes, confining flames to little more than one-half (0.5) acre of light grass alongside the EB Foothill (I-210) Freeway east of the Ronald Reagan (SR-118) Freeway. Though one business was briefly threatened by the flames, there has been no structural involvement. No injuries, and no evacuation. Knockdown - Brush Fire; INC#1365; 06:49PM; 22350 W Devonshire St; https://bit.ly/3uyCvDa; #Chatsworth; A series of precise helicopter water drops by the first arriving LAFD helicopters stopped forward progress of the fire, which has been controlled at one-quarter (0.25) acre of light-to-medium brush near Chatsworth Park South. No injury. No structure threat or damage. All LACoFD and VCFD resources have been released, as this blaze, known as the "Sesnon Fire" is entirely within the City of Los Angeles and LAFD jurisdiction. LAFD crews will remain at the scene this evening to further control the perimeter of the fire to bare soil with hand tools. An approximately 20 year-old male passenger in that vehicle, was taken to an area hospital by LAFD Paramedics in critical condition with unspecified injuries. The third patient, from the other vehicle, was an approximately 40 year-old female found curbside with minor injuries.
