In battling the fire, LAFD responders encountered and rescued an (unknown nature) injured adult male (yet to be confirmed age / condition / site affiliation / circumstances), who they are now transporting to an area hospital. Firefighters prevented the vegetation fire from extending to the exposed residences. There is some reported damage (extent unknown at this time) to fencing / patio furniture. Branford St is closed at the 5 Freeway to Laurel Canyon Blvd due to large diameter supply lines on the street and commuters are advised to seek alternate routes (duration unknown at this time). Crews continue to mop up the vegetation fire hot spots.
