Firefighters are in the defensive mode. An emergency traffic was issued when the facade of the main building collapse. Firefighters had already established a 30' collapse zone and there were no injuries reported. There are exposed structures on both the Bravo (North) and Delta (South) side of the building. The structural integrity of the wall on the Delta side is compromised (no collapse as of now). There are remaining pockets of fire which are difficult to reach safely. Firefighters will continue to apply water and control, preventing them from reigniting while shift change occurs on scene. LA Building and Safety is responding to officially determine the status of the structure. The civilian patients earlier evaluated for possible smoke inhalation declined LAFD transport. Due to the heavy fire load (combustible contents), a formal "Knockdown" is yet to be called. Firefighters will remain on scene working to finalize extinguish of all hot spots. Two patients affected by smoke inhalation were evaluated by firefighter/paramedics, but refused hospital transport. Cause remains under investigation. Park Rangers, have fully controlled the perimeter of the fire to a now estimated one-quarter (0.25) acre of heavy brush in the Hansen Dam Recreation area, a Mutual Threat Zone near the agencies' common border. Park Rangers, have stopped forward progress of the three separate spot fires in medium-to-heavy brush to a total of approximately one-half (0.50) acre within the Hansen Dam Recreation Area. These fires were *different from and somewhat distant* to the fires earlier in the day (LAFD Incident #0840). No injury. No infra/structure damage. No evacuation.
