Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0318; 07:16AM; 15249 W Victory Bl; https://bit.ly/3Y2jIwN; Van Nuys; KNOCKDOWN: 66 firefighters extinguished the fire in 41 minutes with no injuries reported. The fire extended up into the attic and at least one room in the building. The business, Chase Bank, was not yet open for the day and no one was present. LAPD are responding to secure the building. LADOT have traffic closed at Victory / Sepulveda and drivers are advised to avoid the area (do NOT drive over the 4' yellow supply lines that may be in the street) for the next several hours. LAFD Arson is responding for the investigation. Firefighters remain in the offensive mode with a coordinated vertical ventilation roof operation and interior fire attack, working to locate and isolate the attic fire while conducting salvage operations on the interior to protect property. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0499; 10:24AM; 20352 W Sherman Wy; https://bit.ly/3jmRJJq; #Winnetka; Firefighters arrived to find a one-story home engulfed in flames, threatening neighbors. Firefighters rapidly deployed hose lines inside the burning building, while a company assigned to ventilation ascended ladders to the roof. Firefighters skillfully contained the damage to only the original structure, sparing all neighboring homes. Ultimately it took 38 firefighters 21 minutes to extinguish the blaze. All residents safely evacuated and there were no injuries. The residents will be displaced, but will be able to stay with nearby family. It took some additional time to chase fire that was inside the walls. Ultimately, it took 22 firefighters 16 minutes to extinguish the flames. No reported injuries. Advisory - Roadway Closure 01/30/2023 INC#1283

Advisory - Roadway Closure; INC#1283; 05:14PM; 13215 W Branford St; https://bit.ly/3HILnNB; #Arleta; Natural gas utility workers at scene of an excavation project near the Pacoima Diversion flood control channel, requested LAFD to investigate sudden soil erosion and pavement disruption below the roadway in the 13200 block of Branford Street. Though the minimal appearing damage seems static and has caused no injury or structure damage in the residential neighborhood, LAFD closed a quarter-mile stretch of Branford Street between Arleta Avenue and Beachy Avenue to all traffic until personnel from the City's Department of Public Works can work with utility officials to determine a cause and resolution for the issue.
