LAFD immediately requested all lanes of the WB and EB lanes of the 118 fwy be shut down by CHP. Unfortunately, the patient did complete their jump and is being transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. The vehicle is now fully extinguished. LAFD HazMat is responding due to the type of vehicle (electric) which was damaged. 3 patients (unspecified age, gender or disposition) have been transported to local hospitals for unknown injuries. Cause of fire and involvement of additional vehicles in this incident is unknown. No further updates anticipated. They are currently providing advanced life saving care to the 50yo male patient in severe medical distress, CPR in progress. Burbank Fire Dept is also on scene with a 'gator' (side by side) making their way on the ground as LAFD firefighters continue to hike (and use a 4WD truck) towards the patient. These were two separate occurrences unrelated to one another. A 45yo male patient is being transported by ground in fair condition. Fire companies coordinated with park rangers and have now extinguished all flames, stopping the fire at 1/2 acre total.
