Structure Fire; INC#0962; 01:57PM; 9667 N Laramie Av; https://bit.ly/3t0how8; Chatsworth; Single family dwelling, well involved in fire. Following protocol, firefighters were standing by due to multiple reports of person with gun involved in the house fire and LAPD reported shots fired. Firefighters got a line in place in a defensive position to knock back the bulk of the flames to provide LAPD the room to conduct their operation. LAPD then reported suspect in custody and firefighter/paramedics are responding to the patient for treatment/transport. Firefighters are now in an offensive operation for the original fire unit and any exposed homes. Hiker Rescue - Hoist Op; INC#1170; 04:24PM; Graveyard Rd; https://bit.ly/47QcvV2; Tujunga; LAFD Air Operations worked in close coordination with the call taker from Metro Fire Communications on the phone with the reporting party to help guide them to the hiker's location far up the hillside, near the top of a ridge. LAFD Air Ops lowered a rescuer to evaluate the patient and determined a hoist operation was appropriate. The operation is underway and the adult male will be transported to the hospital with non-life threatening fall related injuries. The original 9-1-1 call was received at 3:42PM. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0869; 02:31PM; 17639 W Osborne St; https://bit.ly/3SR5QWC; #Northridge; Crews responded to a home on fire (which had both one-story and two-story portions) at the end of a cul-de-sac. Firefighters made access and extinguished the flames in the living space, and then worked their way up to the fire in the attic. Ultimately, it took 45 firefighters 20 minutes to completely extinguish the flames. No reported injuries.
